Suez is a French Group created in 1858 by Ferdinand de Lesseps to take part of the Suez sewer project. The group then enlarge its activities to water distributions.

Suez came to the Philippines with resolution to enlarge the network without changing prices until 2007.
In 2003 the water price in Manilla was 450% higher than 6 years ago. Suez has then refused to authorities to enlarge the network using as an excuse that datas that were given by the government in 1997 were over-estimated.

So Suez actually came to the Philippines to realise profits. They are accused to cut water supplies from populations who cannot pay their water bill. It is in total contradiction with what they write on their website.
